Snow Snow Come look at the Snow

It snowed! Parker has been sick with the stomach flu for a week but she insisted on going outside and checking out this white stuff. So what did we do? We bundled the girl up and let her loose. She was quite nervous to walk on snow but really enjoyed catching it with her hands.

Disneyland!

Ryan and I are so blessed. This year Grammy and Bop treated the family to a trip to Disneyland. Ryan's brother's family, his parents and us flew to Southern California where the weather was terrific and so much fun was had. We had such a great time and can't thank the Walter's enough. Thanks for the trip!

Christmas Time!

Christmas time is the Walter's absolute favorite time of year. Parker enjoyed putting ornaments on the tree (a real tree this year) unwrapping presents, all the holiday gatherings and seeing pretty lights up. This year we spent Christmas eve with the Walter's family (sadly my camera died) and Christmas morning at our house. We made a tradition to make donuts on Christmas morning which were awesome. Christmas afternoon we spent at the Knauft's house where Devin and Corinne flew in from Oakland. What a treat!

Looking back

I know I already blogged about P's birthday but I wanted to look back and compare Parker now to Parker at one day.

At 13 months, Parker loves to eat and drink milk, crawl, walk holding one hand, loves stuffed animals, dancing to music (and she is better than most adults), and loves giving kisses. Parker can say mama and dada as well at cat and truck. Parker got her first tooth at 11.5 months and is in the process of getting her second tooth. Parker weighs 18lbs (5th-10th %)and is 26 inches long (50th %) and has lightish color hair and bright blue eyes.

At birth, Parker had dark hair and blue eyes. She weighed 4lbs 7 ounces and was 18 1/4 inches long. She loved drinking milk and sleeping. :)

Camping Fun

Ryan and I have wanted to test out camping with a toddler for some time now. Our good friends Kyle and Allison braved the trip with us. We went to Fish Lake in Leavenworth and it was beautiful. While our camping spot was the most private spot, Parker went straigt to bed with two whimpers at 8:45 and woke up at 6:00am with a big ole smile on her face.

Happy Birthday Miss P

It feels like just the other day I was bringing home a 4lb baby from the hospital. Now my sweet Parker girl is ONE! We celebrated her birthday and honored her Great Grandma Freda (who shares her birthday) with a polka dot theme. Freda's favorite. :) I wish Parker was able to meet her Great Grandma because she was such a fun lady. Happy Birthday Peanut, mom and dad love you so very much.

Ryan, Parker, Bella and I had a jam packed 4th of July weekend. We had so much fun having friends over, going to friends homes, spending time with our parents and family and even having a little relaxing time at home just the "four" of us.

Parker had so much fun pulling the grass. Ryan and I now want to tackle our backyard and get some grass growing for our little soon to be 1 year old lady.

CalifornIA

Ryan, Parker and I went on our first family trip accompanied by Grammy and Bop last week. I was a little nervous about bringing Parks on her first plane ride but she slept the entire two and a half hours to San Diego. We stayed at our very favorite place, The Del on Coronado Island. The weather was amazing! For those of you who know me well, I LOVE the sun and LOVE California. I have always thought I was meant to be a California girl. :)

On our very last day we took Parker to the beach (that was right outside our hotel, not sure why it took us so long) and put her little tiny toes in the sand. She loved it!

Here is our view from our deck. Parker swam in the pool three times and everytime she gots in the pool she seemed to get more comfortable.

This was after her first swim. Grammy wrapped her up while Ryan and I got some good pool time in.

Since Ryan has school he usually studies while I take Parker to her swim lessons. This is the first time that he saw her in the pool. In case you are wondering, we signed Parker up for lesson cause she really dislikes water. She seems to like pools now but bath time is still not her favorite.

This was our first day at The Del with our signature glass of champagne. We had so much fun and really appreciated everything Grammy and Bop!

Easter!

Parker celebrated her very first Easter with her entire family (minus Uncle Devin). Sadly I didn't capture many of the moments but we sure had fun on this very special day.
